The 2025 Vegas Shoot, and the 2025 World Archery Indoor Series Finals, have added to the incredible legacy of the Easton X series as the World’s Most Winning Indoor Arrow shaft.
The World Archery indoor Series generated a near-total podium sweep throughout the 2024-2025 open circuit events taking place in Lausanne, Switzerland, Strassen, Luxembourg, Nimes, France, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, and Chicago USA, culminating with the first two days of The Vegas Shoot to seed the final 16 out of thousands of participants.
The finals saw a total Easton Gold Medal Sweep.
The finals, like those for The Vegas Shoot, took place in the iconic PH Live Theatre in Las Vegas before a sold-out audience, putting even more pressure on the competitors. In the end, Easton shooters swept every single Gold medal, with incredible head-to-head performances.
In the recurve divisions, matches are decided by set play. In Men’s Recurve, the USA’s Brady Ellison used a 20-year old set of Easton X7 Cobalt shafts that belonged to his late Olympic Teammate Butch Johnson to storm through every match with overwhelming wins, culminating in a finals match again Olympic Champion Mete Gazoz of Türkiye which saw Ellison win 7-1.
Women’s recurve was a battle between two Olympic Bronze Medalists- USA’s Casey Kaufhold, vs. French archer Lisa Barbelin, both equipped with Easton X10 outdoor shafts. The two took their match to an incredible shootoff, with Kaufhold winning in the final arrow due to distance from center in the 4-centimeter 10-ring.
Compound categories use a five end straight points system, with 150 points being perfect- but in World Archery the 10-ring is only 2 centimeters in diameter- the size of the Vegas X-ring.
Men’s Compound saw a great number of epic elimination round battles, but the Gold Medal match was the ultimate showcase of precision from winner Nico Weiner of Austria. The World Outdoor Champion shot a perfect 150 points to take the gold in his battle with French sensation Nico Girard, who had previously taken victory in the quarterfinals with a 150-150 shootoff.
Netherlands star Mike Schloesser also scored a perfect 150 in his Bronze match against Denmark’s Mathias Fullerton.
Women’s compound saw Denmark’s Tanja Gellenthein win the Gold Medal by two points in the finals.
The 58th Vegas Shoot saw its conclusion in the same Planet Hollywood venue as the World Indoor series, with a capacity crowd of 4,700 spectators treated to a stunning, 16-end finals which started with 30 perfect-score competitors, and culminated in a second Vegas victory for Bodie Turner vs Nico Girard for the $50,000 prize check. Both shooters used Easton X27 shafts in their battle.
Spectators also saw an unprecedented 11-way shootoff for Women’s Compound vice-champion, with Paige Pearce using her Easton X27 shafts to prevail in a group of stellar performers.
