Melissa Bachman – Bowhunting Tips // Draw Weight
In this video; Melissa Bachman, of Winchester Deadly Passion, speaks about the importance of draw weight, and finding the optimal amount for you to have success in a hunting situation, not just on the range.
“You’re going to see people at the range, who arch up, making big motion; and they shoot great…not a problem,” Bachman says. “The issue is; when you’re hunting, that’s a lot of extra movement…you do not want that much extra movement, that might spook [the animal] and put them on high alert. I like to tell people, set your draw weight low enough, that you can have a nice easy smooth draw.”
