I believe one of the major keys to success is confidence in your equipment. The right arrow choice is also imperative to success. For the 3-D circuit, I lean towards an arrow with a smaller diameter. One of the major reasons, for choosing a smaller diameter, is wanting an arrow that performs better down range, at long distance. An important aspect, in 3-D archery, is determining the yardage of the target. A smaller diameter arrow flies flatter, at longer distances, allowing your yardage to be off more than a yard, or two, yet still catch the ten ring.
