My Father’s Daughter – Sierra Langbell Spring Bear Hunt

When I was a little girl I heard someone else telling a story about my father shooting a bear with a bow. I imagined this huge dramatic scene and I was in awe. I knew that someday I wanted to do something dangerous and extreme like that. Fast forward 25 years and my biggest hunting goal at 4 years old came true. Come to find out it’s not as dramatic and dangerous as I thought, but it was still a huge deal to me and the fact that I got to close a chapter in my book that has been 24 years and counting.

When you think your son or daughter is too young to develop dreams, I’m here to tell you they aren’t. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there raising little girls who are turning into strong women. Thank you for all you do. A dad’s influence on a young mind is greater than you think.
