With a near-perfect finals performance, Team Easton’s Peter ELZINGA (NED) took the gold. Elzinga, holder of the FITA round World Record, edged fellow Netherlands shooter, reigning outdoor world champion, and Team Easton standout Mike SCHLOSSER 6-4 to take the men’s compound title this weekend. Both shooters used Easton X23 X7 arrow shafts for their performances.
Telford was the final stage of the Indoor World Cup heading to the finals in Las Vegas on February 8.
Erika JONES (USA), the #1 ranked compound woman in the world, took the top step of the women’s compound podium with a decisive victory in the final.
In men’s recurve, Jean-Charles VALLADONT (FRA) beat fellow French and Team Easton shooter Thomas FAUCHERON for the gold. Easton shooter Sjef van den BERG (NED) took bronze.
For women’s recurve, it was another total Easton sweep with KIM Yu Mi (KOR), PARK Se Hul (KOR), and Olympic Silver Medalist Aida ROMAN (MEX) taking gold, silver and bronze.
The final stage of the world cup commences in Las Vegas with the final qualifying rounds on February 7th and 8th, with the Grand Final taking place the night of the 8th in the South Point arena.
