Web Designer
Easton is currently seeking a Web Designer , will have overall responsibility for working on a variety of projects primarily involved in web site design and development, including creation of custom graphics. Responsible for designing; the user interface and overall customer experience for our web sites and applications. This includes overall navigation flow, layout of specific pages, and creation of individual graphic elements. Should posses’ excellent html programming and design skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for design maintenance of all Web sites and other electronic publications and applications. www.eastonarchery.com, www.eastonsnowshoes.com, www.beman.com, www.huntTV.com, www.eastontubes.com, www.eastonpoles.com.
• Creates new websites in conjunction with new brands and product line including micro-sites for special product roll-outs.
• Executes special sales promotions such as rebates and warranties; facilitates fulfillment
• Deals with preparation of illustrative materials from artists and vendors.
• Ensures that all design elements, templates and finished solutions work within a variety of browser types and screen settings along with the constraints set by development and design.
• Make annual product line changes and make annual catalogs and technical information available for web display and download.
• Provides up-to-the-minute PR content for pro staff related events, equipment usage and event outcomes.
• Disperse weekly press releases.
• Works with marketing and development staff on style and approach for all projects.
• Provides design elements, comps, templates, and finished solutions.
• Participates in efforts to improve quality of Web sites and other electronic publications as required.
• Coordinates with outsourced programmers Flash programming and database set up and maintenance.
• Sets up online surveys and data-gathering resources.
• Frequent placement of video content on Web pages including hunting segments and pro staff tips from Easton extensive base of pro shooters.
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:
• Knowledge of HTML Web technologies and applications.
• Software proficiency and knowledge of/including: Director, Camtasia, Fireworks, Soundforge, Photoshop, Freehand, Dreamweaver, ImageReady, Javascript, Shockwave, and Macromedia Flash.
• Four to five years experience in Web-based graphic design or Web interface design, B.A. or B.S. in graphic design desirable, art or related field or equivalent academic and work experience.
• Ability to coordinate with internal and external groups.
• Experience with audio/video demonstration technologies is highly desirable.
• Written communication skills
