Team Easton's Braden GELLENTHIEN scores World Cup hat trick, paves the way to gold medal sweep in Shanghai
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (May 20, 2013) /PRNewswire/ - Easton Technical Products, The world's best archers came together in Shanghai, China this weekend for the first outdoor world cup of the 2013 season. Easton X10 and X10 Protours won all gold medals, and 11/12 overall. Team Easton's Braden GELLENTHIEN won all three compound events; individual, team with fellow Team Easton archers Reo WILDE and Rodger WILLETT Jr. and the Mixed Team event with Team Easton's Erika JONES.
In the recurve division, 2012 Olympic Champion, OH Jin Hyek continued his dominance winning the gold medals in both the Individual and Team events, with a bronze in the Mixed Team. In the women's individual, another Korean force, YUN Ok Hee, stormed through the field and won the gold medal on thew windy shores of the Huangpu River in Shanghai. Chinese Taipei took the women's team gold. Team USA's Brady ELLISON and Khatuna LORIG won the Mixed Team gold medal shooting their Easton X10's.
SEOK Ji Huen made history becoming the first Korean compound archer woman to win a world cup stage. She and her teammates added to that with a team gold over the USA and India.
